Messing with the Lines

Semi-tut I guess... Did it with GIMP

I found some pretty cool line affects while I was messing with this commission. From left to right:
1. Made a copy of the lines layer about 2% bigger, colored it white, and shifted it down.
2. Copied lines layered, erased inside lines leaving only outer most line. Added 2 px to the selection pane (I think, I don't have it in front of me), and moved the new white outline to the back.
3/4. Copied the lines layer and made it fuzzy. 4. is the same thing but more extreme.
